Hard on the heels of victory at the Livery Academy Awards, St Saviour’s & St Olave’s School fielded another formidable team of Year 12 students for this year’s Sheriffs’ Challenge.
The Sheriffs' Challenge is an annual competition in which six Sixth Form students must research, write, and then present an argument on a topic that is given to them. The students have to progress successfully through the heats to secure their place in the final in Court One at the Old Bailey.
SSSO gave a superb presentation in response to the question, “Should the City of London do more to improve learning and career opportunities for those from less privileged backgrounds?”, to win their Heat this week, and will now go up against two other school teams in the final early next month.
Thank you to mentor Freeman Natalie Shaw for her time and support.
